On the occasion of International Women's Day, a week-long for art and culture in the University of Sahiwal officially started today in the university, which was inaugurated by the chief guest, Commissioner Sahiwal Division, Shoaib Iqbal Syed. Under the direction of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Javed Akhtar, this fair has been organized by the Directorate of Student Affairs, Majeed Amjad Literary Society and Women Development Center of the University to promote art and culture. And Punjabi mushaira, elocution competition for women's rights, theses and special walks are included. On this occasion, the chief guest not only appreciated the creative works of the students but also gave them positive suggestions. On this occasion, the Chief Guest and the Vice Chancellor spoke to the media representatives and appreciated the positive role of women in the society and their involvement in the journey of development. He also reiterated his all possible support for the promotion of literature and culture. Director Public Relations Aqeel Ashfaq and a large number of media representatives were present on this occasion. The chief guest and vice chancellor also cut the cake along with the women teachers and employees of the university on the occasion of women's day. On the occasion of the inauguration of the week of promotion of art and culture, apart from a large number of students, administrative officers and teachers of the university also participated in full, including Syed Ghulam Ali Asghar, Mubashir Saeed, Dr. Amin Abid, Dr. Waseem Tufail.
